Meribel lies right at the heart of Les Trois Vallees, one of the largest ski regions in the world.  It is also one of the most popular ski areas; boasting 600kms of piste and 200 lifts expertly linking the resorts in each of the valleys.  With 293 marked runs catering for all abilities, it really is a wonderful area to explore, offering a sense of adventure as you discover the different resorts.  From Meribel, you can venture to the jet-set resort of Courchevel and have lunch at one of their highly regarded mountain restaurants.  For high altitude skiing there’s Val Thoren where the Glacier lift reaches 3101m.  Smaller resorts such as La Tania, Le Menuires and St Martin de Belleville also form part of the region; with so much ground to cover, the skiing experience is superb.  The easy greens are great for beginners, intermediates relish the wide motorway runs, advanced skiers are challenged by 30 black runs and the experts head to Mont Vallon for impressive off-piste opportunities.

Meribel village is possibly the most attractive of the 3 valley resorts with traditional Savoyard chalets creating the appeal.  With an Olympic ice rink, swimming pool, bowling alley and fitness centre, you don’t even have to play on the slopes.  The village has a variety of shops and boutiques to browse and cafés to indulge. It will be no surprise to hear that the après ski in Meribel is lively with many bars to choose from.  Venues such as Le Rond Point and the cosmopolitan cocktail bar La Poste are extremely popular.  The restaurants cater for all tastes from simple heavenly crépes to gourmet dining with Michelin awards.
